It will be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it will be done.” Interestingly enough one of the the other times this phrase shows up is in Mark 6:23 where Herod offered the daughter of Herodias, his wife, up to half of his kingdom and she she the daughter talks to her mother who says “you want the head of the baptist” (John) and Herod gives it to her. 3 Then Esther the queen answered, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given to me—this is my petition.
