Ephesians 6

Since last week we covered the opening section of Ephesians 6 I thought I’d start with the last section of the relationships section so we have a good running start into verse 10 5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singeleness of your heart, as unto Christ; The word servants in the Greek is the word douloi a form of the word doulos this is a servant by the servant’s as well as the masters choice. The word master is kurios it means: God, Lord, master, Sir. From kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, i.e. (as noun) controller; by implication, Master (as a respectful title) -- God, Lord, master, Sir. So now we have a large multi part God not a 3 part God. The word translated singleness means with sincerity of heart or without hidden agendas or strings attached. 6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; Sounds a great deal like what is said...

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; The word followers is the word mimétés which is where we get our word mimic.  It means imitate. It is only used a few times and is an easy word study. This is some information about the word. 8 mimétés: an imitatores Original Word: μιμητής, οῦ, ὁ Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine Transliteration: mimétés Phonetic Spelling: (mim-ay-tace') Short Definition: an imitator Definition: an imitator, follower. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. The sweet smelling savour could simply be translated an aroma. Here is how some others handle it. The meaning of things

All things that are in God's word have meaning. Numbers for instance the number one signifies God. The first thing listed in Genesis is  ĕ·lō·hîm   the name of God. The Number two can have one of two meanings. Things is opposition to each other like God and the devil or Jesus Christ and the anti-Christ, And so on and so forth or it may mean something is established Genesis 41:32 Dogs are a low life form. Gentiles are called dogs meaning they unworthy because they are not those chosen people, the promise is not made to them it was made to Israel. Pigs are an even lower life form than a dog. They were unclean. We are going to look at 3 different tree's the fig tree, the juniper tree, and the sycamore tree.
