The meaning of things
All things that are in God's word have meaning. Numbers for instance the number one signifies God. The first thing listed in Genesis is ĕ·lō·hîm the name of God.
The Number two can have one of two meanings. Things is opposition to each other like God and the devil or Jesus Christ and the anti-Christ, And so on and so forth or it may mean something is established Genesis 41:32
Dogs are a low life form. Gentiles are called dogs meaning they unworthy because they are not those chosen people, the promise is not made to them it was made to Israel. Pigs are an even lower life form than a dog. They were unclean.
We are going to look at 3 different tree's the fig tree, the juniper tree, and the sycamore tree. I will be showing them to you from scripture and you can see how these trees were regraded.
Let's start with the fig tree. The first usage of the fig tree goes all the way back to Eden.
Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Let's start with the fig tree. The first usage of the fig tree goes all the way back to Eden.
Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Matthew 21:18 Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 19And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
The fig tree at that time was considered a peoples tree. If you had a fig tree in your front yard I cloud come along and take a fig and it would not be considered stealing. Everyone had the right to just take a fig anytime they wanted.
Next we have the juniper tree.
1 Kings 19: 1 Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. 2 So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them.”
3 Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, 4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep.
So to understand this this is just after Elijah had dealt with the prophets of the grove and the prophets of Baal. He had slain 850 of them and Jezebel the queen threatend him. He had to have been at the end of his rope it says he was afraid. The word afraid is not in the text. It does say he saw meaning he saw the threat to his life. This man had just with God's help defeated 850 prophets and now he gets spooked by a threat from Jezebel.
He can't take anymore so he goes and sits under a juniper tree. If at that time you sat under a juniper tree it meant you had given up and wanted to die. Notice he goes to sleep as close as you can get to death without dying and he does it twice establishing he wants to die.
Luke 19:1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
The sycamore fig was had a specific use they were used to feed pigs. The only person who would be in that tree was someone who took care of the pigs. If you remember the so called prodigal son had gotten a job feeding the pigs. The person who took care of the pigs was considered below the pig. Zacchaeus was showing great humility to Jesus Christ. He would have already be hated by the people because he was a chief tax collector he wasn't even liked by those who worked under him. When Jesus saw the humility of this man he decided to go to his house.
So there you have the meaning of these three tree's.
