Hebrews 10 Before we start into chapter ten we need to review a bit of chapter nine. If you don’t know this then chapter 10 will make no sense. Ezra 9 and 10

Ezra 9 1 After these things had been done, the officials approached me and said, “The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands with their abominations, from the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. “the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites….” This list in Ezra would have immediately reminded Ezra of God’s command in Deuteronomy 7:1-4 , in which God commands that those nations that inhabited Canaan were to be driven out and that the Israelites were not to intermarry with them, and if they did intermarry then they would be turned away from the God of Israel. The others crucified with Christ

If you asked most christians what the crucifixion looked like I would bet would describe something that looked like this. The thing is we now have to ask is this what the word says? The only way to find out is to open the word be it your favorite bible website or opening a real bible to see what it says. That is the only way to separate the truth from the tradition. Remember what Jesus said about tradition? Mark7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. What we are looking for is the truth of the word of God not what tradition says. Tradition is fine when it lines up with God's word but if you base your belief system solely on tradition you will be wrong sooner or later then your belief is wrong.
